Jamie Oliver

I used to admire Jamie Oliver, but now he just another celebrity that thinks he is better than the rest.  He recently slated the way the British lead their lives even though he was witnessed by thousands of people around the world living exactly the same way.

He talked about people not sitting around the table anymore but eating their meals off of their laps in front of an enormous TV.  Now, hang-on a minute Mr Oliver, if they didn’t sit around their huge screens eating how would you have made the enormous amount of money you have made!

I couldn’t wait for his cookery programme to start, he was so down to earth, always had a few mates round to feed and always with alcohol on hand while he entertained his guests and viewers alike, but now all that seems to be beneath him.

He stated that the British just go to the pub every weekend to get drunk, despite his own parents running a pub.  Not everyone is the same Jamie, you may be right about the British not creating inspiring family meals but maybe you should stick to your school dinners and leave the rest of us to eat the way we want to eat.  How many of your books etc have been sold in the UK?

Ozzy Osbourne

Jack Osbourne is allegedly filming a documentary about his father, Ozzy, as he feels the reality show ‘The Osbournes’ did not show the real man.  Oh I think it did!

The documentary is to feature interviews with all the principle members of Black Sabbath, which Jack intends to preview at the next Ozzfest Festival.

Jack said,

“My dad’s not an idiot - he’s nothing short of a genius.  He does have huge flaws, and we’re trying to paint an honest picture of that.

I think The Osbournes, to a degree, tarnished the publics perception of my dad as a bit of a senile, funny, bumbling guy.  My dad can be that guy, but it’s not him.  I think that almost discredited who he is as an artist.”

He may be a rock legend, but the years of drug and alcohol abuse have turned him into the man he is today, a senile, funny, bumbling guy.

Allegedly, according to Jack, Ozzy is a severe dyslexic and so refuses to do his autobiography and so feels that by doing this documentary is like a visual autobiography.

Madonna 50

This week Madonna has reached the big 50, you would think it was the first time it had ever happened to anybody.

Anyone with the money that Madonna has, can also afford to look good at fifty, she is definitely not going to age gracefully.

Madonna has been the hub of many rumours over the years, referring to her cosmetic surgery procedures and once said “I am not going to have a press conference if I have plastic surgery”.

she has admitted in the past to Intraceutical skin infusions, which is an oxygen therapy said to produce a glowing, youthful complexion.

At fifty, I agree she looks good and I would probably do the same in her position, but where do you stop.  There must surely be a time when you face the fear of being unable to smile in case the thin,taut skin that is actually left, splits or you turn into that scary woman ‘The bride of Weissenstein’.

It Is Twenty five years since Madonna’s first UK top ten hit Lucky Star, this was promptly followed in 1984 by her first number one Like A Virgin. Throughout her career Madonna has kept pace with musical trends and while not always at the forefront of new music, somehow manages to make it feel like her own, such as Ray Of Light and more recently 4 Minutes.

In an attempt at groundbreaking journalism the Daily Mail today, reports that they have sent journalists to Malawi where Madonna is allegedly awaiting the adoption of three year old Mercy James, to get a scoop on the brother they left behind.

The Mail tracks down the Father of Madonna’s adopted son David only to find that the penny pinching Queen Of Pop has never offered to support the Father or his family.

One thing that Madonna has certainly done in her career is feed the ever hungry media with plenty of headline stories and it always gets me how the press build these people up and then do everything possible to discredit them.

Needlessly the story reports that David’s father ‘can only hope to earn £26 a year.’ The paper suggests that Madonna probably tips more than that when dining at ‘celebrity haunt San Lorenzo in Knightsbridge’!

But I save the worst bit until last. The Mail says that even two years after arriving in Britain, David has a sorrowful look in his eyes, as if somewhere inside him he has retained a residual memory of his difficult early months in Malawi.

Absolute drivel, just what this type of journalism expects to achieve I have no idea.

I doubt that it will bother Madonna too much, at fifty she is still on top of her game, the Queen Of Pop is not even considering taking it easy once she hits the Big Five O, as she will be continuing on the European leg of her Sticky And Sweet Tour, which kicks off at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium on August 23rd.

The Sticky And Sweet Tour will then travel to mainland Europe, starting in Nice on August 26th and finishing in Athens on September 27th. Madonna Ticketsare available from Viagogo.

Shia LaBeouf

The 22-year-old actor, Shia LaBeouf, had his left wrist shattered in a car accident on the 27 July in West Hollywood.

The Indiana Jones star was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving at the scene after the pick-up truck he was driving at 3am collided with another vehicle at a junction.

He was apparently turning left at a crossroads when he collided with an oncoming vehicle and his truck was turned over.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Wolf said at the time,

“It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest.”

He was booked for a misdemeanour charge of driving under the influence.  Fortunately, his passenger and the other driver were not seriously injured.

A couple of days later, a police spokesman announced that LaBeouf “was not at fault”

“We have strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light.” said the spokesman.

I thought LaBeouf had already been charged with drink driving, so how can he not be at fault, he may not have caused the accident but he was under the influence of alcohol.

Kerry Katona

Only a couple of weeks ago, Kerry Katona was given an extra two weeks to pay off a tax bill, said to be around £417,000.

Katona, did not attend the hearing at London’s High Court when the agreement to adjourn for a further two weeks was declared but the registrar said,

“I am going to mark it for settlement of the balance.  I am going to mark it final.”

He also stressed that bankruptcy petitions,

“are not to be held over someones head indefinitely.”

Katona is due back to court on August 21st, where the petition must either be dismissed or have the bankruptcy order made.

This week, however, Katona has allegedly told the world that she is going to spend £15,000 on a total body makeover.

According to the former Atomic Kitten singer, she is a size 12 but wants to return to being a size 8.  She is planning a breast reduction from a GG to a DD, liposuction and laser treatment for her stretch marks.

So how skint is Katona exactly!

Sharon Osbourne

Plastic surgery queen, Sharon Osbourne has allegedly announced that Paris Hilton has no talent, tell us something we don’t know!

Hilton, is friends of the Osbourne bratz, Kelly and Jack, or was until their mother aired her views to the media, when she said,

“She has no talent.  I’m sure Paris would tell you that herself.”  Probably not actually!

In Mrs Osbourne’s opinion,

“Timing was right for her.  She’s got a look a lot of younger girls liked and copied.  She’s a very sweet girl.  But that’s it.  Then you put a full stop.”

God forbid anyone even thinking of saying the same of her children, handbags at dawn!

Heather Mills has managed to make yet another enemy, after her publicist quit this week.  Michelle Elyzabeth allegedly said last week,

“After working with Heather Mills for the past four years, I have decided to cease representing her.  Since her divorce has become final, in my opinion, Heather has become an impossible person.  Yesterday, we engaged in a heated argument during which she called me “stupid.”  I reminded her that she was not “God” and she answered, “I will never ever talk to you again.”

I have been patient in my dealings with Heather, however, I cannot take any more.  I have given her substantial unpaid time and attention.  I am owed money.  I refuse to be subjected to her outbursts.  On reflection and given the way I have been treated, I now have sympathy with much of what the British press has reported about her.”

That is one spoilt bitch!

Allegedly, Abi Titmuss, was surrounded by hundreds of fan’s at her latest book signing, No not really, three men apparently turned-up to meet her at Liverpool Street Station.  She then went onto WHSmith in Manchester, where a similar gathering rushed to get the latest book autographed!

The couple were due to marry a month earlier but 24-hours before the event, the wedding was called off due to personal issues and work commitments, yeah right!

The couple are known to have a turbulent relationship and it was reported that while staying at a hotel in Los Angeles in 2006, they had a bit of a scuffle.  His partner, now wife,  was left with bruises on her upper body, face and scratches to her legs while he had scratches to his face and arms.

Sounds to me like they’re made for each other, let them get on with it, another divorce on the cards.

Halle Berry is fuming after the paparazzi took photographs of her and her baby daughter while she was in her own backyard.

Miss Berry has said in a statement,

It is a “very blatant and invasive trespass.  The paparazzi have gone too far.  [Gabriel] and I have always remained that we would never sell baby photos or otherwise exploit her in any way.

I will do everything I can for the sake of her safety and well-being to keep her out of the public eye…I intend to do everything I can to make sure the photographer who illegally intruded into my home is criminally prosecuted.”

Good for her, why should they be allowed to get away with it.  More and more we are hearing of celebrities being prosecuted for damaging the camera’s etc of paparazzi, is it any surprise.  What gives them the right to be able to intrude to the degree that they do, just so they can make a nice little earner out of the snaps!

I couldn’t believe the photographs posted in the daily papers this week, the room and rubbish bin where Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt celebrated the birth of their twins, my life feels so much more enriched for them.

It’s a room, just a room,  who gives a s**t!

Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, don’t know how incredibly lucky to be given the names chosen for them, after a 9-year-old girl in New Zealand has been made a ward of Court for her name.

Talula does the Hula from Hawaii, for some reason is embarrassed for the name given to her by her sadistic parents.  The poor kid told her school mates her name was “K” because she feared being “mocked and teased”.

The Judge who heard the case back in February said,

“It makes a fool of the child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap, unnecessarily.”  The child’s new name is being kept secret to protect her identity.
