Buzzin Bitch

This week saw the dramatic actions of Paul Gascoigne getting him sectioned and admitted to a psychiatric hospital, but to be honest it was always only a matter of time.  Everyone knew the former England player needed help but he was just left to his own devices.

Apparently, Gascoigne had been walking around the hotel that he has since been evicted from, with battery operated parrots and answering the door to his room naked with the words ‘MAD’ written on his forehead,  did that not give anyone a little clue that things were not quite right with the man!, apparently not, they just sent men to his room instead of women.

He has said to have been on a two month bender in his hotel room whilst staying there to recuperate after recent hip surgery.  He has been on medication following the operation but has been ordering a lot of alcohol and having it sent to his room.   Surely the hotel must take some of the responsiblilty here, everyone knows the problems Gascoigne has had with alcohol in recent years and yet they continued to deliver it to his room, not a good mixture with medication is it, but with someone like Gazza, something was bound to kick-off.

Apparently, Gascoigne was on his own all the time, he had one or two visitors but nobody saw him regularly, that is just so sad, he was once one of the nations hero but has been a virtual recluse living in a hotel alone and obviously in need of help.

Now his step-daughter, when it suits her, has managed to have her little bit of fame, admitting that she hadn’t seen him for a while and saying that he needs privacy to recuperate.  She was seen in the newspapers last week herself on the floor after being refused entry to one of the after Brit’s Award parties looking as though she had had a little tipple herself, who knows!.

I hope that Mr Gascoigne gets the help he needs and that one day we see him back to his full health without the addictions, it is just such a waste and so sad to watch him destroying his life.
